Pedro Shanahan grew up a child actor in Eugene, Oregon, performing in scores of regional plays and musicals, and playing in garage bands. He was a student activist, a founding member of the Martin Luther King Jr. Theater Co., an independent filmmaker, producer of community variety shows and had released two albums with his punk band, Birdie Jo! before he moved to Los Angeles in 1998.
Pedro recently finished shooting the first season of 'Canoga Park,' a half-hour cable comedy due out in Fall '07. 'The Gentleman Don LaMancha' just won Best Student Feature at the Mexico International Film Festival. See him as the title character in 'Eavesdropper,' the longest-running play in Los Angeles, at the Underground Theater Annex, 1308 N. Wilton Pl., through December 2nd. He studies the Method with Tony Greco.
